New 2 step recovery code

Hi, Is there a way of getting a new recovery code from sky? The 2 step verification is linked to an old work number although all my details are correct? I am yet to find anyone or any department at Sky who can either change this telephone number or allow me to have a new recovery code? I have been saying a month to activate a new SIM card... many thanks Mark.

@MarkTilley the only way to get a new Recovery Code involves a Verification Code being sent to the mobile number you currently have in place - that is, your old work number.

Sky can't issue a new Recovery Code, and can't change the linked mobile number.

What you need to ask them to do is turn off 2 step verification on your behalf which will allow you to set it up again with your new mobile number. It's not an instant process.

However, 2 step verification proceses appear not to be well understood amongst customer service advisers so you may have to persevere to find someone who knows which back office team to refer this to.
