Netflix confusion

Hi. I am very confused about what the netflix package actually gives you. Are you just paying to be able to use the app within sky, rather than through your smart TV? The reason I ask is that I still seem to be making payments direct to Netflix. I have £10.99 coming out of my account for Standard membership each month, yet if I look at my Netflix account online it says my membership payments go through my Sky Bill and I can see that netfilx is included in my Sky package and I pay an extra £6 per month. What is that £6 for? Thanks all

A NetFlix account is a NetFlix account regardless of who you pay.  You can use the account on any supported device (including the Q App).

You should be paying either Sky or NetFlix (not both).

It certainly sounds like you can ended up with 2 Netflix accounts rather than linking your original Netflix account to your Sky account, which would explain why Netflix are still billing you along with having the "standard with ads" tier through Sky.

The extra £6 per month on your Sky bill is likely the upgrade cost from "standard with ads" to "standard" (which removes the ads from Netflix).
