Need to unlink old Sky account

In MYSKYAPP I have been advised to UNLINK an old SKY account but when I try to do this an error occurs

Are you a returning customer to Sky who has been away for 12 months or more, if so to use thesame email address you just need to remove it from your old account first and you can do that here:

https://www.sky.com/myaccount/my-details

Then delete the email address by providing another one and logout of this account, this will then free it up to use when setting up your new Sky ID:

I foolishly entered wrong email address when setting up sky account. I eventually got through to an adviser who changed my email address. But this created a new sky id. When I sign in to this I have "medium access" which does not allow me to view billing information,  etc. The original sky id is still active but I cannot access  as it wants to verify email address attached which is not the correct email !!! Is there any way to sort this out

My post above explains how to do this so logout of here and login with your old account details to that link I posted to remove the email address.
