My first bill direct debit was due on 20th September, I had money in my account so it couldn't have failed.
Today it was showing as "Overdue" so I paid it on my card.
How do I make sure that payment will be taken next time, I wouldn't want to be charged late payment fees, despite habing DD in place.

Hi @Marek5 Can you at least see the DD has been set up in your bank account? I suspect that you will have to contact Sky to resolve this.

Re: My first bill Direct debit not taken
No, I had no notification from bank that payment was requested. I'm with Natwes and at the point of first request, they send me notification. So in such case I don't think Sky ever attempted to take the direct debit.
