Moving home/re-contract kerfuffle
I've been paying £30 a month for Superfast (offered £38 automatically) as was out of contract - talked to Sky online (05/09) about this costing too much and like a real n00b accepted the first offer they gave of £27 (2 year contract) + £10 admin fee. Not sure why it all has to be cloak and daggers like this but anyway. It seemed reasonable at the time. I'm moving home soon so wanted this done before bills increased and I'm saving £3 yay lol (even though I read you can get even better deals by jumping through some extra hoops).
Yesterday, I filled out the form for moving home. Superfast isn't a thing at my new home, it'll be "Full Fibre" - much better, I hear. Perhaps if I had just filled out the form first, I could've avoided the admin fee? Or would that apply either way when seeking a better deal? That's my first question. I think re-contracting before doing the whole moving home thing has just complicated things.
Now once I've moved I will be paying £27 a month for Full Fibre 75 which doesn't seem right to me. A relative of mine pays £23.50 for Full Fibre 100 and free landline calls up to 1 hour - she is a "Platinum" member but I don't think that even matters? Other sources online show that you can get Full Fibre 100-150 for £27 (sometimes less) but mine will only be 75. I just don't understand it. Bottom line, I feel like I'm being conned here and have been given a bad deal. It's like paying the same for less.
I did talk to Sky again just before but didn't get anywhere this time. Basically, I was told to wait until I've moved in and then maybe I can talk to them about this again? Maybe that'll be simpler. I'm still kind of annoyed about that admin fee though. Also the new router is being sent to my old address which I'll be vacating on the 11th so unless it comes tomorrow before 12pm, I'm not sure what'll happen to it as someone must sign for it?
Thank you for your thoughts. Please help my brain find peace. 😊

They may need to check that: there's essentially no profit margin on providing FTTP plus Sky Talk Anytime Extra for such an amount, and the Sky offer details are unfortunately easy to misread as had been noted in many posts to this forum.
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2
