Moving home process
Hi
I just went to book our house move in the Sky app. The house we're moving to already has a dish suitable for Sky Q, which is the box we'll be taking with us. Why is the app trying to book an engineer when it's surely just a case of us connecting up the existing wires to our box? If we do just connect up the box and everything's fine would i then cancel the engineer visit, which is scheduled for 2 days after we move?
Also, why am I getting a date 4 days after moving for broadband to be activated? Isn't this just a case of someone putting some details into a computer system and/or flicking a switch? The current occupiers currently have Sky braodband
Thanks

Re: Moving home process
On top of this it seems the moving home process is broken. Both the app and website go to a blank screen after clicking continue on the dates screen! Finding a contact number on the website, to actually speak to someone, also seems harder than it needs to be....

Re: Moving home process
@Lew73 from Sky's help page here, you should be able to select a self set up option for Sky Q.
For broadband, it generally takes around 10 days for Openreach to provision your line.
You can find a number to call via the still need help/get in touch buttons on the home move help page mentioned above.

Re: Moving home process
As the dish belongs to the householder Sky has no way of knowing if there is one there or not which is probably why it defaults to an engineer visit.
