Mis Sold Sky

After 25 years with Sky I went to routinely negotiate a new contract.

i agreed a broadband and television package for £93.  But it is now clear that was for the television package only.

i am locked into a bad deal for 2 years as the first monthly direct debit represnted the amount agreed.  It then reverts to a much higher level.

No doubt the acres of legal text will protect you, so nothing I can do?

Nothing to do with protecting us. This is a customer ▶️ customer discussion forum where we try to help other customers. You haven’t actually contacted Sky by posting on here.

How did you negotiate this deal? If it was by phone call Sky again. They can listen back on the original call and determine what was said and what was agreed.

You should still have got a email from Sky shortly after finished negotiating your new deal (about a hour after puting down the phone) This should have confirmed the new offer and told you what was in it giving The pricing of each product  in you package and the applied discounts  amounts when they start and finish ( if they only run for part of your term ) and when the minimum term will start and length commitment, The email also tells you have a cooling of period of 31 days to day from that date to change your mind and cancel and put you back on your old contract. If you did not receive this email for some reason, Sky also send you a  message  at the same time   ( within a hour of putting the phone down) with same confirmation information,  You can read these messages in "My messages" in the  my Sky app just going in to the  app and clicking  on the little head at the top of the app and selecting "My messages" from that menu. You should see a message dated the date you agreed the offer titled  "confirming your Sky offer" and maybe a second one of the same date titled "confirmation of the changes to your Sky TV package" , if you have no access to the my Sky app you can read these  same messages by going to the sky.com web site and and logging on to you account and  again clinking on to the little head at right of the homepage and then again selecting "my messages" from the menu. Those messages will still there now in dact  if I go in to "my messages" in the my sky app on my phone I can still read messsges of confirmation of my deals with Sky going back years.
