Issue with Sky Billing

I started a new job last November, it was a well paid job and I though a secure position. I subscribed to sky TV again and payments were made, the last payment of £181.03 15th Jan.

Since then the company has folded, I have tried to discuss this more than once with SKY through an overseas call centre. They do no listen to what I'm saying and repeat something completely different to me, and the last one tried to upsell to me !! I can't pay my latest bill which has jumped by £50!! If I try to cancel they want to charge me a fee. I have applied for Uni Credit and just getting JSA at the moment so what do they expect me to do? Whatever happens I won't be renewing if and when I'm able.

Any one else experienced something similar any advice?

If you agreed to a minimum term contact then you cannot cancel (unless they agree to it) - the contract is explicit on this.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

@Jeffers61

Sorry you've found yourself in that predicament but as stated the latest T’s and C’s explicitly state you can’t cancel when still in a minimum term deal unless Sky agree. If they agree you’ll have to pay the remainder of your discounted term (usually in one go).
