How much?!
I've just had a quote for a new contract after my current 18 month contract expired. Sky want 20% more than my 18 month contract was, this time for a 24 month contract with unspecified mid contract price rises.
I don't think so.
Sky are being greedy. This is way above inflation so I'm voting with my feet.
I wonder if there are certain times of the year when Sky have good offers for existing customers. The current offers are not great.

Discounts on renewal do now seem to be somewhat less generous than in the past - more like a few pounds than the up to 50% or more in the past. Expect the same with your new provider when your new customer discounts expire.

Apparently offers are becoming harder to come by so you are doing the right thing by going elsewhere if you don't believe you are getting value for money any more.

Re: How much?!
@Jaybee2The current Inflation rate is irrelevent when it comes to the price you pay once your minimum term is over, or when you negotiate a new discounted deal.
Obviously you are free to go elsewhere if you feel it no longer represents value for money, just be aware that large discounts are rare with most providers nowadays, so you may need to lower your expectations or be prepared to loose some services.
