Home move
Just completed a home move request via the mysky app. Part of which is upgrading my broadband to full fibre. Subsequently Iv received an email saying my replacement sky q box is on its way. Iv not requested any new boxes and certainly don't want to swap my current working sky q hdr box. Any idea why I seem to be getting sent a new box? Or is it related to the broadband change?

Did the Previous owner of new home have Sky Q.If they had older box you may need a engineer to replace the LNB on your dish as the Q box use a different type. If they did plugging your box in to the present cable and you should have your Sky service. The change of address only update Skys records and may be change your local ITV and BBC. If a replacement box arrives just them you don't need it.

Are you sure it's a new Q box and not a new router?

Re: Home move
The email refers to a sky q box. And is being delivered to my current address before I move and said will be swapped at the door by the dpd courier. I guess I'll just see what comes.
