Gigafast Offer not as advertised

Last month I accepted this offer to upgrade to Sky Gigafast Broadband.

Screenshot 2026-04-29 at 13.14.47.png

When I have been billed, I have been charged for Sky Talk evenings and weekends plus Sky WiFi Max. When I have contacted Sky, they deny that this is included with this package, despite me giving them the above a evidence. The order was completed online with 1 click to upgrade, so no details were ever given.

Has anyone else had this issue or has anyone else got this package, with the included services?

The reason that I upgraded was because with these included, I would be paying less than my current package for a better package. That is now not the case with my bill being increased significantly.

@Mascot

You could try putting a complaint in:

https://www.sky.com/help/complaints

This gives Sky 6 weeks to resolve this issue and if they do not you can ask for a deadlock letter to take it further.

Re: Gigafast Offer not as advertised

I have put a complaint in, which they swiftly closed, without resolution.

I will request a Deadlock letter though. Thanks for the advice

I might be being cynical, but it says "includes...", it doesn't specify "at no extra charge"!

The screenshot you've shared doesn't appear to show a price at all, so it's difficult to know whether you've been overcharged or not.

Yes, that stood out for me as well, very selective screenshots and if that's all they've got then the complaint would go nowhere I'm afraid.

Checked on mine but the only 'offer' is to upgrade from my £25 500Mbps service to 1Gb for £49 with my Sky Pay as you Talk package.

Re: Gigafast Offer not as advertised

I'm sorry, I didn't ask for personal opinions. This is the only evidence I have as I just so happened to take a screenshot for my own purposes. I'm assuming you take screenshots of everything you sign up to??
i find replies like this extremely rude and unhelpful. If you can't help with the issue, just don't reply at all, nobody is interested in your opinion!!

I already  see from your screen shot it  shows sky talk is included in your package. From  what I understand Sky talk is normally included in a Sky broadband subscriptions, in fact from I have read on this forum previously  you can not have Sky Broadband with out having phone service I.e Sky talk also included,. But it not usually included with out extra charge in as much you don't get free calls,  you have to pay for calls made though the service but ther no actual  subscription charge for Sky talk. However I gather if you not realy going to use this service  there should been a option to just have "pay as you go" rather than having a calling plan like they have given you.  In fact when you signed up for your broadband if did it on line, (there is a screen offering various calling packages., if you don't tick any of them , you automatically get pay as you go.)Therefore if you don't make  any calls you don't pay any extra. Therefore  I suggest you get in touch with Sky and ask them to change your  Sky talk plan to "pay as you go" As far WiFi max there a box to tick if want that as well, if did not want that it should not been ticked.  If you don't want WiFi  max I again contact Sky to get removed When you go to the final screen to complete your order if gives a summary of what in your package, did check that before you clicked to come late your order?

Somewhere on the offers page where you saw that deal should be the T&Cs, which will state in detail all the various clauses and prices.

As the screenshot you have provided doesn't show the contract details, like price etc, and only shows the upgrade button, that page specifically can't really be used for evidence. I would have thought when the upgrade package button is selected, it would provide more details on the offer ( and the link to the T&Cs) before you actually confirm you want to take it.

We are just other customers like you trying to help if you don't want how opinions why come on here in the first place. I am not sure from your initial post whether you were expecting the extras to be without extra cost or did not want themin the first place. If it this  first I have been on the Sky web site and gone though the procedure of ordering  the Sky. Broadband package you have ordered on line. Both these ,  options that is for Sky talk everning and weekend  and WiFi max are chargeable upgrade  accessories to your package , you have to tick box's on the screen to add them to the package . No where  in the order process dose say these options are in you package with out extra cost. ( If you pressed the upgrade  button shown in your screenshot it will probably show the the price of your present options as well as the cost for the upgrades) In fact when  get to the end screen  when ording there is summey of what in your order  and the what the monthly payment wil be.  Also after you completed your order you should have had a email confirming your order, show what was included and the total monthly cost.If you now don't want them you need to contact Sky and get them removed. However if want do keep them there is a extra charge to your subscription as described above

Re: Gigafast Offer not as advertised

After speaking to a Rep online about wanting to cancel my account after about 15 years as they were charging me £62 a month...he sold me a GIgafast new contract for £42 per month...I also explained to him that we haven't had a landline phone for years so we also don't want the  ' 'Sky Talk and Evenings Extra' add on.......but now I see that it has been added on anyway...(am not happy). How do I get that removed from my contract?
