Gift card expired before activated

The £55 gift card link we received for joining sky , expired after 90 days. . I had not noticed this so we never got chance to use it . I had been saving it until we needed something for our home. I work long hours as a nurse and admittedly missed the small bit of typing which said we only had 90 days to activate it . 
when we joined virgin 18 months before we got an £80 gift card that was valid for 3 years so it never occurred to me this sky offer would only be valid for such a short time . I have emailed gift cloud but they say they cannot replace it and thst sky have informed them they cannot reactivate any cards. I'm disappointed to say the least as feel it is no hardship to just issued a new code . It does not cost sky any more money as we didn't used the first one in time . It would keep customers happy if they just simply provided a new gift card link

@Emm675 the conditions ontthese offers are often quite restrictive and flexibility is rare. If you feel strongly you can make a formal complaint https://www.sky.com/help/articles/how-to-make-a-complaint but I doubt Sky will issue a new card if they dont you can then go to the independent arbitator but again I would be surprised if they supported your case.

A cynic might think that the companies maling these offers makre the conditions strict to reduce the overall cost of the promotion.
