Free trial that I can’t end

After contacting Sky with some issues about my phone, I was offered 2 free months of Sky Cinema and then (because the issue had taken a while to sort out) 2 free months of Sky Sports as well - which I accepted.

The Movies seems to end after the two months, but then I noticed from my bill that it carried on  - so I ended up paying for an extra month of Sky Cinema, which I eventually managed to cancel.

However, I can't get rid is Sky Sports.
I've rung three times, and been assured that it will be removed each time - but I am still being billed for it (and will continue to be until at least December, by how I've read my bill).

I tried going online to a "Sky Expert" today, but ended up wasting 45  minutes of my day with long silences and gaps without any return communication - and eventually gave up on that, as nothing was being done to help (I can only assume that the "expert" was attempting to deal with more than one customer at a time)..

So I'm still being billed for a product I don't want, and can't seem to find a way to get out of it.

Before I submit a written complaint, can anyone suggest anything.?

Wrong password?

Why is it that when I ring Sky and they ask me for my password, they tell me that the one I'm giving is incorrect ....even though I know it IS correct!
It's the one I've used to sign into this - so it obviously worked here.

@wheeeeeeeeeeeeee

These trials do need to be cancelled by giving 31 days notice. They don't automatically end.

@wheeeeeeeeeeeeee  They are asking for your Telephone password which is different to any you use to sign into your account that is why it isn not being accepted.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Hi @wheeeeeeeeeeeeee   Just say don't know if you have forgotten your telephone password. Never give out your account password to anybody!

By the look of it your Sky sports deal was a free period of two months and then a minimum period of at a discounted subcription price and from what say what  on your bill ends in December. You don't say how much you are being charged for Sky sports for this period, but the full list price £36 a month and if that you were being charged you would have probably been on monthly contract and could cancel by giving 31 days  notice.

However I expect that you what you are actually being billed is probably considerably less then than that and is subject therefore  subjrct to this minimum term,  which ends in December. This point should have been shown  in the offer when you took it  up. Did it say two months free then a period at this reduced price!? If this is the case I am afraid unfortunately you are committed to this minium term till December  and you can then give notice 31 days before the end date which is some time in November what ever the actual end date stated in your bill.

You can try and cancel before the date but if Sky do agree there will probably  impose a termination fee equivalent to the amount you would have paid from the time of cancellation to the end date of your minimum term
