Fraudulent account
I'm going in loops with sky call centers as they are asking for details I don't have for a sky account that was created in my name / address but not me.
I have moved out of parents house and found on my credit report searches from TDX group. Later I recieved letters from a debt collector ( through mail redirect to new address) saying I owed sky .
upon further investigation it has been a parent who created the account without my knowledge or consent .
Basically I am stuck because I have no account info so sky won't speak to me . In the past 2 years of this situation I have been through around 20 call centres who all redirect me to someone else . They all say they cannot do anything due to me not having info like bank details and then accuse me of not paying.
I have been told through TDX That the account is not under investigation . However the account has been under investigation for well over a year now to no avail .
how do I proceed with this ?

Re: Fraudulent account
It was reported to action fraud - they called me but by this point I thought it was resolved ask the debt collectors told me it was at the time .
so when they called I said it had been resolved . I only found out 6 months later it hadn't been as TDX were searching my report again .

You haven't said who's 'investigation' but if the suspect for doing this is a parent the Police should get involved as it's 'domestic' related.

Just to point out Action Fraud do not investigate any fraud/crime. They collate data for intelligence purposes, search for matching themes/trends and if they deem is suitable they pass the incident to the police force they feel is best located to carry out enquiries (so not necessarily your local force). (Action Fraud does not operate in Scotland)

Re: Fraudulent account
@Thelost290603 identity theft, which is what this is, is a crime. IMHO you should report it to the Police, if you want it to be taken seriously.

Re: Fraudulent account
Apologies, My investigation - Once I called sky and they did give me an email that was attached to the account which was a parents.
It does sound like Police may be the avenue here but I had hoped Sky would be able to resolve internally (Apparently the account at Sky is under investigation again - but this led to nothing last time.)
Interestingly when I called them last year they said they had put a note on the account stating suspected fraud - but now Sky are saying nothings on the account notes.

Continuation - fraud
As a continuation from my previous post due to it not allowing me to update anymore .
is there any way to get through to Skys fraud team or contact ?
over the past 2 years of this case going on I can never get through because I don't own the account - therefore- don't have the info required for the advisor to access anything . The advisors say they will investigate but nothing ever comes from it.
when TDX last got in touch they said Sky will be in contact - but Sky don't have my email or number due to it not being my account .
stuck in a constant loop in the phone getting forwarded to various departments before the advisor saying they can't help without info that I don't have .
any assistance is greatly appreciated as this has been a massive stressor over the past year.

My understanding is that there's no means of directly contacting the fraud/investigations team. All contact is via customer services.
