Expensive sky bills

Why has sky upgraded my bill to £73 a month , I wouldn't mind , I'm only using the limit amount of sky q TV programmes and I have a sky WiFi account , no more on this account . I used tonpay £53 a month , now in the last 2 months my packages have shot up to £73 per month . I am single woman , totally unable to pay this amount monthly. Unfortunately I'm seriously thinking of closing my account and looking for a cheaper package else where ! Regards Kat

@Kat125  Your bill or TV subscription won't have been upgraded, it is likely discounts have ended as these are for a set minimum term, after which you are charged at the standard prices.

When you took out the discounted deal you will have told how long it's for.

The onus is on you to keep an eye out for the end date and negotiate a new deal.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

@Kat125
Perhaps compare a previous bill to your latest bill and see where the amounts differ
www.sky.com/bill.

If your discounts have ended you can contact Sky to try to negotiate a new deal or potentially amend your package which will now require a 24 month minimum term contract. Sky are not obliged to offer you another discount, and recent posts on here indicate that significant discounts are much harder to come by. If you’re offered something acceptable be prepared to agree to it there and then because if you decide to think about it the offer may no longer be available when you call back.

You can either call Sky or use the following link

If each product (broadband and television) was discounted by £10 a month during a minimum contract term, then a £20 increase at the end of that period does rather make sense.
