Excessive billing

I have had real problems trying to renew /replace my contract with sky. I agreed a new price for my Internet service which was to be £26.50 per month. Looking at my forward billing plan this shows £53.00 a month going forward. So the only evidence of the oral contract will be the sky recording. I cannot get anyone to call me back and when I speak to sky they suggest that there aren't any notes to suggest I have made previous calls. So, how do I 'complain' in writing and what happens if I just close my DD until sky contact me. Thanks

Use this link to make a complaint

Sky have up to 8 weeks to resolve it or issue a deadlock letter before you can escalate it further.

Cancelling your payment method is definitely not recommended and it will cause you additional problems. Your services will be restricted, you won't be able to call Sky, you wont be able to cancel, late payment fees will be added and eventually Sky could involve a debt recovery company which may affect your credit rating.

They usually turn your services off and won't speak to you until any outstanding balance is cleared and will possibly impact your credit file.  They are unlikely to contact you other than attempting to collect the 'debt'.
