Engineer visit

I have had a problem with connection apps through sky and managed to arranged a visit from sky engineer.  He advised that this was a common sky problem connecting to other servers and the only solution was to hardwire a connection between sky box and server but that sky would not allow him to do this. If  I could arrange this it would be a simple matter to phone up up and make an appointment and an engineer would come out.  I have just wasted over an 70 mins waiting on hold with no reply before eventually giving up.  Is there any way to actually speak to a person instead of being told to switch everything off and switch it back on.

I suspect that's incorrect: Sky typically doesn't install ethernet cable.  For clarification, which apps are you trying to connect to, and on what Sky platform?
