Sky sports and uhd cancelled for me.
call centres are terrible now, and tried to trick me into signing up for another 18 months on the package after removing sky sports. Said they can give me a breakdown of the new charges after I agree to the change.
Had to repeat several times that I only want sports and uhd removing, and that I'm not committing to a new contract as the rest of the stuff will probably be cancelled in the near future.

Are you having a laugh? Nearly impossible to actually speak to an advisor, it cut me off last week saying there was nobody to help me and directed me online. Got sorted in an online chat but that's no good for the elderly or those not comfortable with technology. Really ridiculous way to treat customers.

Not sure who you're replying to as you haven't tagged a posters name. The methods for cancelling TV and Broadband/Talk subscriptions are explained in my post on page 1. That applies to all customers other then those already registered with the Accessibility Team.

Nope, as I said no Sky employee has posted here as this is a place where customers help each other.

Daft answer. How to cancel Sky like a normal person, without calling?

The question is how to cancel the contract via an online form?! We all know how to make a phone call, the thing is - not everyone can or is capable.

Sky TV
~ Select ‘Need more help’ at the bottom of the following link which will lead to contact details.
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/cancel-sky-tv#contact-leave
(Make sure the flag in the bottom right corner is the correct one ie; UK or ROI).
UK customer ~ The link may include an active email link and also a Message Us option (which is normally available between 9am and 7.30pm).
ROI customer ~ it’s only by ringing or writing in.
If you cancel correctly you should receive a confirmation email from Sky.

Chat link given above - I've always used that for changes and cancellations without having to mutter a word.
If the individual has particular circumstances (e.g. a disability) then see Sky Accessibility.

Sky of late are an absolute joke! I cancelled after 20+ years of being a loyal customer ( not that Sky recognise this) and have always had the full tv and broadband package. I see a number of posts from other members or new subscribers given even better deals, saying that they have been contacted by Sky and given better deals, which I have never received, in fact they didn't appear to be bothered that I was leaving!
That said I have moved on and purchased a freesat box - one off payment being equivalent to what Sky wanted to charge me for a month, so don't miss it it all whilst also keeping my of my hard earned money in my pocket - good riddance Sky, but thank you for letting me see the light!

Where did you get the Free Sat box?

Current Freesat 4K boxes are available from mainstream retailers (but note that no broadcast Freesat is actually UHD)
https://www.freesat.co.uk/get-freesat
Previous models are available second-hand online, but really old hardware is falling out of support.
