Early swap - Mobile

Hi,

I have 2 phones with Sky Mobile and one of them (a Samsung Flip) stopped working after about 14 months. Obviously we need to get a new phone, however there is over £450 left on the agreement. So if I want to swap and get a new phone does the £450 have to be paid off in full or does it continue to be paid off on a monthly basis until the original contract has finished (in addition to the new phone)?

The guidance suggests it needs to be paid off in full however I recently upgraded my other phone which had £90 left and it continued to be taken every month until the original contract finished.

Thanks

@raul249 If you "swap" the broken phone the remaining balance will have to be paid off in one go.

Thanks, and if i dont swap the new phone (eg try to use sites such as envirophone to get some value for the phone), and take out a new device with Sky Mobile I'm assuming the £450 will continue to be paid off on a monthly basis? I basically would rather not pay £450 off in one go.

Re: Early swap - Mobile

Actually I've just reread the terms and looks like I can continue to pay the original monthly payment until the agreement ends. Thanks for the reply

Yes, you can continue paying monthly but counts towards your monthly outgoings for any new credit check.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
