Double payment

Have already made my payment for April and now the payment has been taken a second time. No point ringing as they will just say the payment is being held as a credit. I am so disgruntled!

If you have a continuous payment method set up you should never need to make a manual payment. As you've guessed a credit will appear on your account for the amount you have overpaid once the planned payment has been processed. This should automatically be used to pay your next bill so on that bill date no/less money should be taken from your account. I would recommend not making manual payments unless requested to by Sky.

Normally we can escalate this to the Messaging Team on here to help you get it refunded within the standard 3-5 working days but after yesterdays technical issues we haven't yet been told we can escalate posts again.

Re: Double payment

Thank you for explaining.   The only reason I made the manual payment was because no dd was set up so I made the payment and then set up the dd.  I just thought it would have been seen that my account was clear and no payment would be taken until the following month.  Oh well it's a learning curve I guess.

The technical problem that prevented your post being escalated to Sky has apparently been fixed.

So if you prefer, once your extra payment is showing as a credit, we can perhaps get you some help in getting it refunded (within the standard 3-5 working days) through the Messaging Team on here. Let us know on this thread if you want to do that having confirmed it’s now showing as a credit.
