Double debited for May

£27 was taken out of my account on the 2nd may and again on the 12th of May. Why ? And can I get the second payment back as my bill was only £27.

Not to my knowledge, both of them on the bill say "direct debit payment"

It is for sky broadband, I've been with sky for 8 months now so no not new.. 

 

it doesn't even show up on my account as credit yet it's taken two payments for one bill. 
the bill was paid on the 2nd and it's debited me again on the 12th with a balance of 0

It's strange that there's a 10 day gap between the two payments. 

If you usually pay by direct debit and the full payment fails on the normal payment date Sky will automatically attempt it again 10 calendar days later.
