Re: Double bill
@Lhreid don't make manual payments. Your manual payment will have been applied as a credit to your next bill, leaving your current bill unpaid, which is why Sky are trying to take payment.
Let the automated payment you signed up to handle your bills.

Re: Double bill
@Lhreid Not a double bill, you made an unecessary manual payment close to your direct debit date, I'm afraid the error is yours in doing that.
You don't need to be making manual payments when you have a direct debit in place.

As said you made manual payment which is not necessary and if like in your case paid near the date of your direct debit the payment has not paid you current bill but gone on as credit on future bill. You present bill still needs to be paid unfortunately, and from your post Sky have tried to take payment for it and if from what are put "tried" the payment failed probably due to lack of funds. Sky will try again in 10 days time and should it fail again unfortunately your services will be restricted and you will be unable to speak to Sky until full outstanding amount is cleared. As I said the payment you made is gone against the next bill so probably there will be no direct debit next month, however still want payment for you current bill.
