Double Charge
Hi all!
I have been charged double this month and I think it was because I missed a payment date. I did however pay that missing bill a week ago. I have now been charged double as if I hadn't paid it. From what I can see, my account says I have been credited this extra charge.
does this mean they will use that credit next month? Instead of the direct debit?
Thanks all!

Re: Double Charge
Yes, it should be used next month. You were too quick in paying manually.
If you usually pay by Direct Debit and the full payment fails on the normal payment date Sky will automatically attempt it again 10 calendar days later (any manual payment made in this period will usually only go as a credit towards the following months bill leaving this months unpaid).
After 10 days, if that second attempt also fails Sky may send a text and/or email notifying you that your payment has failed again and you then have a day or two at best before they restrict your services.
Don't make manual payments unless asked to by Sky.

It appears you didn't actually pay it but instead paid to put a credit on your account as you do get an extra 10 days with a direct debit so if it fails the first time Sky will always try a second time to take it via the DD so during this time any manual payment is likely to go onto the account as a credit and not pay the bill in question.
