Direct debit made but I cancelled my subscription

I recently cancelled my subscription to sky in August and my internet services were cut off on 29th of August. However, there was a direct debit paid for the month of September. I was wondering if I could get a refund for this.

@Tlabares

Bills are generated 14 days before the payment date so when you were still a customer. This is quite normal.

Refunds can take up to 6 weeks from your last day of connection providing the payment method is still active on your Sky account. (This will take longer if the payment method has been cancelled as Sky will have to manually raise a cheque and post it to you).

If you wish we can help get it refunded within 3-5 working days via the Messaging Team on here. Let us know on this thread if that’s what you want to do but we need confirmation it’s currently showing as a credit on your Sky account.

@Tlabares

So is it already showing as a credit on your Sky account?

Re: Direct debit made but I cancelled my subscription

I just checked an no its not. Hopefully I am checking at the right place though. Is it through bills and payments?

@Tlabares

Yes. As soon as it's showing as a credit pop another post on this thread and we can start the ball rolling via the Messaging Team.

@Tlabares  To get you some help with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who will contact you later today. This link explains how it works https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Did-you-know/Escalating-a-post-to-a-Sky-expert/ba-p/3711147#M1014

Keep an eye out for an invite or blue chat bubble.

When the blue bubble does appear you have 48 hours to respond or it will be automatically closed.

Be reassured the email & message is from Sky and your details are safe and secure.
If you are using Safari please make sure that Hide IP Address is not checked in order to see the blue bubble. If you are having trouble finding this to check the settings, use another browser such as Firefox, Chrome etc.

I would also recommend that if not already on, that you turn email/private message notifications on to avoid missing any alerts
