Delayed Final Bill Refund - Account in Credit Since August 8th

Hi everyone,

I am looking for some help from the Sky Community team to get my final credit refund processed.

My broadband cancellation was officially completed on 7th July. However, due to standard billing cycles, I was still billed and paid £49 on 8th July. My subsequent final bill dated 8th August correctly shows that my account is £49.93 in credit.

It has now been over three weeks since that final bill was generated (and nearly 8 weeks since my actual cancellation date), but the automatic refund has not been paid into my account.

My Direct Debit remains completely active with Sky. Could a member of the Sky Community Messaging Team please look into my account and manually trigger this refund back to my bank?

Thank you!

@Matt4818
We need to wait at least 10 minutes from your original post before we can escalate your issue to Sky so I’ll escalate it at that point and staff from their Community Messaging Team should contact you.

Look out for a post on this thread from one of the team inviting you to a private chat and then you should see a blue/red speech bubble at the bottom of your forum page. You’ll have 48 hours to click on it and start the private chat or it will close automatically. If you fail to respond to a chat reply within 48 hours the chat will again close down automatically even if your issue hasn’t been resolved. Replies from Sky aren’t instant so you’ll need to check the chat thread periodically.

I'm having the exact same issue.  Cancelled my contract with sky in June and still waiting for final refund.  My account is in £46.40 credit

Refunds after cancelling a subscription should take about 6 weeks from the last day of connection, but posts on here suggest it’s taking longer ~ (what would have been the next payment date has to have passed as well).

We can potentially help you get it refunded within 3-5 working days via staff from the Community Messaging Team on here. Let us know on this thread if you want to do that.

Before we can escalate it to Sky we need confirmation that:
▪️the credit is still showing on your Sky account and,
▪️the payment method is still active.

If you’ve already cancelled your payment method Sky can either reinstate it, or get a back office team to raise a cheque to post to you but that obviously takes a lot longer.

Re: Delayed Final Bill Refund - Account in Credit Since August 8th

Thank you for your help 🙂

I cancelled my contract on 2nd June 2026 and sent the equiptment back on 13th June.  My last bills generated on 1st August and 1st July shows £46.40 credit.

The £46.40 refund will really help me our right now.  The reason I cancelled sky in the first place was due to financial difficulties
