Contract

My contract ended a month ago.  I received notification and to review a new deal, prior to it ending.
I have been logging on ever since to try to view and renew, however for the past month it just shows 'technical issues' each time.
Whereas I was intending to renew my agreement, I am getting increasingly annoyed as I feel this is just a ploy to keep me paying more.  I don't like talking to people on the phone and the help page says I cannot email.
Thinking of just cancelling, which is a shame but I can't be bothered with the hassle.

@Moo17

Your discount ended a month ago. Your contract doesn't end until you actually cancel it.

As your discounted minimum term has ended the best new discounts are still normally acquired by contacting Sky and negotiating or potentially amending your package which will require a new 24 month minimum term contract.

Significant discounts are harder to come by these days so if you’re offered something acceptable be prepared to agree to it there and then because if you decide to think about it the offer is unlikely to be available when you call back. Also remember you’re not a new Sky customer so don’t expect anything close to a new customer deal.

See this link…

If you decide it’s no longer value for money and you’re thinking of changing providers remember that at the end of their minimum term you'll be in the same position with that company at which point you'll be able to return to Sky and benefit from the new customer discounts available at that particular time.

@Moo17 frustrating, but I doubt it's a ploy. We've seen previous posts which seem to indicate that the 'technical error' sometimes arises when the deal offered in the email is no longer available, for some reason.

Best to call (you would have to speak directly to Sky anyway if you choose to cancel) or use live chat to negotiate.
