Charged for sky sport which I didn't order

Had an issue with sky recently which resulted in an engineer coming out, they fixed the issue and get a free months sub to sky sports and sky cinema. Was told I just had to cancel them if I didn't want them before the end of the free sub period which I did. I've now been charged for sky sports even tho I cancelled it. I've never watched any sky sports even during the free period.

You have to give 31 days notice to cancel.

 

You'll be charged whether you watch (or watched) it or not.

The engineer should have told you that as you have to give 31 days notice to cancel you would need to do this after the first month.

But I did cancel, tats te issue. I canceled both sky sports and cinema. I've not been charged for sky cinema but have sports.

When did you cancel Sky sports, so how far into the 2 months did you do this ?

A week or 2 into the free period, same time as I cancelled sky cinema.

Then I would give Sky a call tomorrow about this so that they can check that it was actually cancelled as it might not have been for some reason.
