Charged after contract ended

Sky got in contact to tell my I was out of contract and my Internet bill would be increasing to £49pm from 19th of October. I decided instead to switch to another provider. My new line went live yesterday. Last night (20th) of October I was charged £49 even though I should only have owed one day. How do I get in touch with someone online?

Hi @Stacey3003   As the bill was created 14 days ago while you were still active, this is entirely normal.  Once your account is showing in credit you can contact Sky and ask for a refund, or wait 6 weeks for it to be done automatically.

@Stacey3003

This is correct as this bill would have been created 24 days earlier so now you have left you should see a credit on your account that you can phone Sky to ask

to refund it otherwise you could be waiting up to 6 weeks plus for it to be automatically refunded.

Thanks for your help guys, I've still not been refunded and it's sitting on the ac pint as a credit. I'll need to phone them and try to get it refunded.

Yes. Refunds should normally take about six weeks from the last day of connection but posts on here suggest it's regularly taking a bit longer.

Providing your payment method is still active they should then be able to refund it in 3-5 WORKING days.
