Changed broadband to sky

I changed my broadband provider to sky and they said they would pay the termination fee/charges from my previous provider and that they would sort it all. I have been charged £163,16 by my previous provider and would like sky to pay for this as promised. I keep getting the bot and would like to speak to a human to get this sorted.

@smccann  Sky don't pay any termination charges, you pay them then claim them back as per this link https://www.sky.com/help/articles/switching-credit-offer

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

@smccann

As stated above by @GD1 you pay any exit fees with your previous supplier then Sky will credit your account once you provide them with a copy of the bill from the supplier where you have been charged an early termination fee and a copy of a statement showing that you have paid it and send these to Sky via this email address - switching credit @sky.uk (all one word without the gap).

Unfortunately some sales advisors use language a little too loosely in making such assurances. An ISP cannot directly pay a bill owed by a new customer to another provider: that would require mechanisms which don't exist or an inappropriate exchange of personal information.
