Change before installation date

Hello, we are due to get sky fitted on Monday; I know it's last minute but I want to change from the sky stream device we have been sent to a sky q box; could I just as the engineer when he comes or would I need to get in touch with sky

Hi @Paigerow   You would need to get in touch with Sky. Why are you expecting an engineer for Sky Stream? Normally, self install.

Hi we got in touch and we required the engineer as the broadband to be put into the house as it has not been in this house yet

Your broadband may be installed by a engineer if the property has not had broadband before. However it might it be Sky enginger as such work usualy done open reach. As such you equipment, broadband hub and your Sky stream box will arrive separately by post or Simlar method. And as such your Sky steam will usually be self install.

Hi @Paigerow   That would be an Openreach engineer. They wouldn't know anything about Sky TV.

A broadband engineer will only install that service.

If you have ordered a package that includes Stream that box will just arrive by courier, not be provided by the broadband engineer.

You may have to cancel everything and reorder if you have a discounted package.

Do you already have a satellite dish at the property?
