Billed after sky contract closure

If sky bills a month in advance and my account closed October 2nd - why did £37 .50 go out of my account on October 13th?

For Sky Q, Sky+ and Broadband/Talk the bills are generated 14 days prior to your payment date, Mobile, Glass & Stream bills are generated 3 days prior to your payment date ~ therefore usually whilst you were still a customer. Any overpayment should be reimbursed to you after about 6 weeks.

To speed up the refund if you contact Sky they should be able to refund you the credit that is showing on your account.
