Becoming a new customer?

We currently have sky q & fttp. Contract is in my wife's name & is about to expire. We are in the process of buying a flat, where our only sky option will be sky stream, IF we can get fttp.

will. I be able to just cancel our existing contract, & take out a new one in my name, thus making me a new customer?
