Hello.
I cancelled sky many months ago.
I returned the Sky Q equipment in the box that Sky sent me.
I retained proof of postage.
Got letters from sky saying that I need to return the equipment ( i had already returned), but he letters said to do nothing/ignore if i had already returned the equipment.
Now i notice that Sky helped themselves to £114.75 from my bank account, i presume for 'unreturned' equipment?
I suspect that this is by design. Sky can blame it on Unipart, or whoever is responsible for the returns process, and they can still help themselves to money from the customer, many of who won't realise that it has been taken from their account.
Anyway, I'm wasting more of my own time trying to get my money back from Sky.
Can someone help? I guess i need to call (their lines are closed right now), or jump through a bunch more hoops just to get my money back, and i doubt anyone at Sky has any intention of compensating me for the time and inconvenience etc.
Thanks.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAre you in the ROI as you mention the call centre is closed?
Have you still got that proof of posting?

Thanks for reply.
Yes i have the proof of postage.
Sorry, I thought the Call centre was closed due to the screen shor below. I notice now that it is the 'Chat with us' feature that is closed. I revealed the phone number to call by clicking the phone icon.
On hold with the call centre staff now, trying to get my money back. He says he needs to speak to his supervisor because they would normally issue a credit note, but obviously i have closed my account. He hasn't asked to see my proof of purchase yet, but seems to agree that I did return my equipment (so why did they charge me?).
Thanks for your help.

So they said they will refund me. They said it will take up to 7 days.
No one even asked to see the proof of postage that i retained...
They refused to compensate me for inconvenience/time wasted, because they were already refunding me. (lol - thanks!???)

That's correct. There is no provision for that.

Yes. They said they will refund me. Again.
point is, I'm wasting time chasing up Sky's incompetencies (at best. At worst they are trying to steal money)
