Activation fee

Hi i did all my sky package deal over the phone with a lady and she told me i have to pay a £39.95 activation fee which i knew if i did online i wouldn't have to pay but never questioned her as to why i need to pay this because id rang to set it up then i received an email saying there is no activation fee no hardware charge and no delivery charge which has left me wondering what I have actually just paid for ? also she never told me sky tv wouldn't work unless I have broadband set up which I'm not happy about as I can't even watch tv as I'm still waiting for the broadband to be set up ?

Hi @Katie00   What TV package have you ordered? Sky Q, Sky Stream or Sky Glass TV.

Sounds like that you have ordered  a sky puck as that is the price  for it

If you have ordered Sky Stream, the £39 activation fee is correct. That is a one-off fee that Sky charge which essentially covers the hardware costs of the puck, the delivery cost and the lifetime warranty of the puck. Typically the £39 fee is only waived if you also take out Whole Home and additional pucks.
