A better deal

I called 2 weeks ago and spent an hour on the phone -  the worst customer service I received in all my years being with sky, passed aroumd from manager to manager and got nowhere, I was lookimg for a better deal as a family member called and got a better deal on her sky package also a VIP customer.

As you can assume i didnt get anywhere no one interested! last week called again, to be passed around again again then cut off again no one interested, yestaerday happended again.

As a long term customer of over 20 years I expect better service, keep fillimg in the complaint forms and no one deals with it.

I do require compensation and a better deal!

@Betts74 On what grounds do you require compensation? If its because you can't get the deal you want or because someone else got a better deal then you're out of luck, that is not a valid reason to be compensated(neither is bad customer service).

If the complaints you've made have been about the poor customer service then they should have been addressed, if they where just about not getting a better deal then they will probably have just been ignored as its not a valid complaint.

@Betts74

Managers in the call centres tend to not be public facing so it was probably agents you spoke to.

If your discounted minimum term has ended or its ending soon the best new discounts are still normally acquired by contacting Sky and negotiating or potentially amending your package which will require a new 24 month minimum term contract.

As you've discovered significant discounts are harder to come by these days so if you’re offered something acceptable be prepared to agree to it there and then because if you decide to think about it the offer is unlikely to be available when you call back. Also remember you’re not a new customer so don’t expect anything close to a new customer deal.

See this link…

If you decide it’s no longer value for money and you’re thinking of changing providers remember that in 18/24 months time you'll be in the same position with that company at which point you'll be able to return to Sky and benefit from the new customer discounts available at that particular time.
