I do feel it is unreasonable that you can't turn things off online (even with a 31 day notice period).
Its possible if it wasn't a 31 day rolling contract and actually added as a 18 month minimum term that could be why you can't remove it online. I know from experience that wat can be removed online does vary and seems to be set by what add-ons you have under a minimum term agreement.
