I'm paying £174 a month need to look into reducing this how can I go about it?
has anyone else manage to reduce this? I can never get through on the phone, used to be able to use Chat but always getting the robot can not get through to a human very frustrating

The only way to do this is to phone Sky. You will need to speak with a customer services agent and ask them what renewal deals are available to you. This may require you also reviewing what packages you are paying for and perhaps wanting to remove some as well.
You can call on 150 from a Sky Talk Line or Sky Mobile.
If you haven't got a current Sky Mobile or Sky Talk this link should help:

the call centre is busy and will be busier during the festive seasons, but more typically people have said they have been on hold for 30-40 minutes before being able to speak to an available agent.

Find out moreYou would need to call Sky to see if they will offer you a discount and if they do it would mean agreeing to a new 18 month contract of which you would need to make up your mind there and then as you will not get the same offer should you call back on a different day.
