13.46% price rise 2 months into broadband contract.

Sky have just emailed me to say that my 2 month contract is going up by £3.50 a month, that's a 13.46% rise, that's double our neighbours rise. Got the feeling I have been scammed by Sky! Can I migrate away penalty free?

Most companies increase prices once a year. Sky do it in April. The email should state you can leave penalty free within 30 days of receiving the email. If you move to another isp they don't normally allow customers to leave in similar circumstances.

If you are in a contract then no for the TV but yes for the Broadband as it explains on the email you have been sent.

Thanks for the confirmation, we don't have Sky TV so all good. Off to Vodafone who are 13.46% cheaper and we get a £80 gift card too! Shortest broadband contract we've ever had!
