PIN on Parental Control

I'm sick and tired of it asking for a PIN to watch Caught Red Handed or whatever on Sky Crime.

Yes there was a PIN. No I can't remember what it was.

You have to know it to change anything in settings.

And why would you need a credit card to access it **bleep**.

And that remote control must be the crappiest thing ever. You only have to breathe near it and it starts recording something.

So how can I find out what the PIN number is?

The pin is the last 4 numbers on your viewing card or you can set it to whatever you want via this link:

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/your-pin

Or via the My Sky app > Manage Account > TV > TV Settings > TV Pin > Update.

It is a requirement from Ofcom to broadcast programmes rated suitable for older audiences before 9pm

I live alone.

Apparently the number is the last four digits on the viewing card.

That'll do for me.

Sky Crime is one of the channels taking advantage of an extension by Ofcom of the regulation on Mandatory Daytime Protection to permit the carriage of post-watershed content before 21:00 as long as it is behind a PIN challenge.  As the name suggests, Mandatory Daytime Protection cannot be removed by the platform or the subscriber.

Using a credit card is intended to demonstrate that the person requesting the PIN reset is themselves an adult, for obvious reasons.
