My landline phone line has been crackling for over a week, so I would like to report this and get help please. As it is difficult to use the landline, and I don't have a mobile phone, online assistance would be much appreciated.

No, I haven't tried this option. Please could you talk me through how to do this?

Alternatively, would it be possible to book an engineer via this forum?

Ok I've followed the steps using that link. The final page says "Get in touch" and it gives two options: "Ask Sky Community" or "Call a Sky expert" which I can't really do because of the crackling noise.
Is it possible to book an engineer?

Find out moreTo get you some help with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who will be in touch with you regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page. It can take up to a few hours to be contacted via this.
This link explains how this works:

When the chat bubble does appear you have 48 hours to respond or it will be automatically closed. This isn't a live chat so replies are not instant.

Hi, since posting on here originally, my phone line stopped crackling for a few days but has now started again, so it would be useful to be put through to someone via the chat function again if possible please?
I think the issue is with the phone line rather than the phone itself.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreSee if you can run this line test to see if a fault is found outside of your property and if something is found you can book an engineer repair, ignore the fact it says it will test your broadband:
You can also run this test via the MySky app.
Let us know how you get on.
