sky q box disconnects from wifi after 20 seconds

I wondered if anyone can help. I'm having problems with my sky q box and its wifi connection (which is not a sky router). Once connected to the wifi it only stays connected for around 20 seconds and then disconnects and never reconnects again. The only way i can get it to reconnect is either by re-booting the sky q box or performing a network reset and reconnect to the wifi, but regardless of which method, when it does reconnect it drops the wifi connection again after no more than 20 seconds. Would appreciate if anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this, thanks.
