Replaced SKY Q main box as Harddisk failed. New one worked for a few days now keeps pausing with a blank screen. This includes Netfix. Had to switch to TV Netfix app to watch. It only pauses for 1 second and then just continues. Doesn;t matter if it is live or a recording and only happens on main box. Swap HDMI cable but same symptons. which get worse the longer the box is on. Not getting warm though.

After going through another software update things are actually worse. Having to run in 8bit mode. Next step is a factory reset, but I cannot see how that will help as this is a new box. A lot of effort for something that is new and a few days old.

You’ll have 48 hours to click on it and start the private chat or it will close automatically. If you fail to respond to a chat reply within 48 hours the chat will again close down automatically even if your issue hasn’t been resolved. Replies from Sky aren’t instant so you’ll need to check the chat thread fairly regularly.

@Daniel0210 yes which is what actions I reported above. The problem now is the family needs to watch the recordings, including the F1 race before I can do a factory reset. I don't think it will help. I suspect a hardware fault. Is all~@ the memory soldered to the mother board or is it in Simms? One of which may be loose.

So ended up with another sky q box as there is a known problem with the newer box's not playing nicely with uhd TVs.
