Your mum can transfer her number to Sky:

Buy the Sky sim on your account if you want them both on the same with one.
Activate it when it arrives but do not put it in your phone.
Get pac code from your current supplier
Give Pac code to Sky
When your current sim stops working insert your Sky sim in the phone.
