Sky go device authorisation for android phone

Given a spare device space to a friend who has an android phone, each time he tries to watch something this message appears; your device needs to be authorised. Please ensure it is connected to the internet and try again. 
the device is connected to the internet, it is a Samsung Galaxy S22

I have seen a few posts over the last few days about the internet issue so get your friend to disable the connection then delete the app, reboot the device, turn the internet connection back on then install the app again.
