Remote broadband activation failure

Hi there so was given the big activation date should happen anytime before midnight patter and low and behold boom nothing happened no activation. After calling sky this morning to complain it looks like I'll have no internet for a week.... what was supposed to happen this week ie mon-wed testing then live Thursday will start next week this is because it's down to openreach. Everything was working fine with previous broadband provider so why is there an issue. Anyone got a good suggestion how I can get decent broadband connection without the use of mobile hotspot etc as our mobile coverage is terrible in my area. Ps I can cope without internet for time being but my kids oh gosh they don't know what board games are 😂😂😂

No your only other option is mobile broadband
