Open reach

the open reach engineer came and said what he needed to do he couldn't, and that he needed to dig up the garden to find the pipe/cable.  He was coming back later with the correct equipment.  He never arrived.  Sky are coming to activate my new broadband in 2 days but open reach haven't done what they needed to do.
cant speak to anyone. Keeps sending me back to automated line.  So frustrating

thanks

@Shirley191 fibre installs can be frustrating with issues like this. The Sky engineer, if it is a Sky engineer doing the ONT install which is not a given, will either do his work leving the end of the fibre pigtail in place so when Openreach finally run the supply fibre the two can be fused joined. The alternative is the installation date will be put back. Either way you can't get a service until both jobs are done. Sky should be aware of what work has been done and what hasn't as Openreach should report that direectly.

You should be due compensation oncec the job is complete see Customer Auto-Compensation | Sky Help | Sky.com.As I have posted before my own fibre installs had similar issues of psrtial jobs, missed appointments and delays which gave me enough compensation to pay nearly 6 months of tge service.
