We've been offered faster broadband by two companies recently with faster speeds. We are paying for faster speeds but aren't experiencing them in every room.

@TimDR  When you have a speed quoted to you, this speed is to the router that connects to the broadband entering your home and not to the devices connected to the router as there is always some loss of speed. Plus for Wi-Fi you have those factors like walls and other interference.
