Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreCustomers with Sky+ (with the full sports subscription) will receive the new Sky Sports+ Channel, 412 but will not have access to the live streams as Sky+ is not compatible with the Sky Sports App.
See the article in the News section at the top of the page

Even though the Sky box doesn't support the new Sky Sports app that is showing the alternative games you can use the app on a mobile device such as iphone/ipad or Android mobile or tablet (but unfortunately not on a desktop)

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreSky+ isn't included in Sky's article here: https://www.skygroup.sky/en-gb/article/introducing-sky-sports-giving-more-choice-to-sports-fans-via-...
"Once live, customers with a full Sky Sports subscription won’t need to do a thing; Sky Sports+ will simply drop into the existing Sky experience, across Sky Glass, Sky Stream, Sky Q, and NOW."
But that might simply be because Sky+ is a legacy platform which doesn't feature in Sky's news articles....

It's because Sky+ boxes are not capable of receiving the streams for the new sports service.

@theredhouse55555 That's correct it won't be on smart TVs (the only exception being sky glass or sky stream linked to a standard smart tv or now tv box linked to a standard smart tv)
the other alternative is to upgrade to sky Q
