Sky stream power cable

Hi I am looking to change my power cable to my sky puck as I have just had a media wall built and want to plug it in behind the tv, but the plug is quite big and makes my tv stick out. What cable can I buy? Or do sky do a smaller one? Thanks

That makes a significant difference.

Sky only supplies the one power supply type for Stream pucks.

In theory a suitably specified USB plug plus a USB2 to barrel pin adapter should work, but as all current pucks are on loan, this isn't advisable.

The Sky Stream plug is an awkward size.

Not knowing your setup, all you can do is have some kind of extension lead if it helps to position the plug somewhere else.

Positioning of a Sky Stream puck itself behind a TV, is not a good idea.

Doing so, is most probably going to cause interference and stability issues.

Make sure you have a good 6-8 inches free on all sides of the puck.
Do not stack the puck on top of any other device.
Best not to sit it on a glass shelf. A wood shelf is generally the best.
Make sure the puck is in the open, not tucked away in a cabinet or sat directly behind the TV.
Make sure you have no other devices that can cause interference closeby, like cordless phones, radiators, baby monitors, microwaves, smart meter in home displays and the like.
You should be using the Sky supplied hdmi cable or a high speed equivalent one.

Unfortunately Sky only offer the one size of plug and it's the only supported power supply for the device.

@Jimbo1997

Have merged your original thread in Sky Q (where you mentioned first Sky Q and not Sky  Stream that you had) to this Stream one you created also.
