@squareeyeschris You may be right there. But knowing how noncommittal they usually are about these things, one would hope that any Sky employee accepting responsibility in writing on a public forum means they are at least confident they can fix it eventually.

Sure you don't mean:
"I hope they were giving a genuine pixilated picture of the situation" 😂

Interesting that Sky today have extended the Sky satellite for a few more years. Wonder how much of this is because of all the issues with Stream service?

Just put in a request to cancel stream and go back to sky q.
Had enough of all this to be honest.

It's an additional year, likely just a realignment to match the other SES contract holders (and perhaps to reach the 40th anniversary of Sky Television over satellite)

So to update I've know cancelled and they wanted £23 extra a month on what I was paying for steam to switch to q.

They know about the pixalataion a s have told me they don't have a timeframe on a fix.

Might be , but I expect it to be due to the constant issues with stream . 2028 will not be enough time I suspect to get ready for ip only .

Agree @Neil+Essex that its probably due to all the constant issues

We also have this problem which is ongoing. The picture either intermittently pixelates or distorts. Sometimes when we turn it on, we get intermittent flashing. This has been happening for the last couple of months. Turning the plug off at the mains and resetting it does cure it for a day or so and then we have the problem again. We are connected to gigalear fibre Wi-Fi and have at least 400mbps. We have tried unplugging the Wi-Fi as well but, again, this only cures the problem for a day or so. Any help would be appreciated

Exactly the same issues for me. Sky are aware of it @David1424

Extending by a year also inadvertently gives openreach et al time to complete the fibre rollout ......

Hi, so my issue has recurred. My pixelation/black screen issues. My pixelation issues

Don't want to speak too soon, but I've been watching Main Event UHD for the past hour without a single tear or pixelation. First time in months. Fingers crossed this continues.
